ASUS K8V-X won’t see SATA drive
Hi, If all else fails, go to the hard drive manufacturer’s utility and download the drivers for the Sata from there. Join the community hereit only takes a minute.
The Asus site shows 64bit drivers for your board. Pins 5 and 6 on WD drives are for “factory use” only and I can’t think of any reason why you should have to cover those to get a working drive.
