I do not know yet how to install these AHCI drivers , but from the looks of the some help and the mobo manual it’s possible , but I do need to be assured if it’s actually worthwhile. Hope they are helpful. The system did not show any slowdown yet, actually a faster boot or it’s just my imagination?

This should work on any P35 ICH9 based board: I can copy data to it at MB per second for hours, right up to achhi, then the copy just stops. Windows Vista IT Pro. I have only one comment to add to the above. Run the installer with the -a switch to extract the files.

Of course new driver features, which require a more actual hardware, will not be supported by older SATA Controllers. This way you will participate in the technological innovation. If gsata is betterwill the AHCI function make it even better?
This always will happen, when you want to replace a a WHQL certified driver or b jch9r newer driver by an older one.
The reason mentioned above will be used. Originally, I installed Server R2 64bit without the F6 drivers.
A feedback regarding the result is much appreciated. The boot drive is 64GB SSD and shouldn’t be an issue, but even after installing the intel drivers With one single hdd, the capabilities are limitied and also maybe problems: They work smoothly and when the data approached teh 2TB boundary that had locked up the drive using any of the intel drivers, the data kept flowing.
If anyone has any ideas to allow me to access the GB of missing space, I would try their ideas happily.
