The reason why is doesn’t “adjust loft” is because years ago, when the industry was coming up with standards, a bunch of guys decided that irons are measured for loft with the face square to the target and the shaft perpendicular and woods are measured letting the head sole naturally open, square, or closed with the shaft perpendicular.
