It was a decent PC though. For a cashed strapped or frugal S single core user I strongly recommend you consider this path if you find yourself never quite able to commit to a full build. Posted December 18, Posted July 18, The board has some overclocking capabilities, but it doesn’t have Vcore adjustments, and even if 4coerdual-vsta did, it reportedly won’t post above FSB. I had to move my windows partition to the right of the disk using Gparted and create my leopard partition on the left of the windows partition.
Register a new account. That said, Conroe chips aren’t exactly cheap, and decent S boards are insanely expensive. Any info for using these with 4coredual-vstta would be appreciated.

The reviews I could find suggested to me that I’d get fairly decent results with my current DDR memory due to lower latencies, but the video cards they used as reference were older models and I was fairly certain that my card would easily saturate the PCIe slot on this board.

Asrock has only been around sincebut since then they’ve made quite a name for themselves as a producer of budget priced motherboards to fill just about any niche. No big surprises here. I’ve tested the following PCI-Express cards with success: Im stuck running Winblows for now.
Going into this, I was under no false impressions. That said, the performance hit is still in the worst case a manageable 5. I still have the board, but it’s not in use. The main problem with PCI-Express is that it is limited to 4x generation 1 speed, meaning newer cards do get bottlenecked with a quick CPU. Asrock wasn’t always an ok board maker.
